New Mexico United is excited to announce that midfielder Harry Swartz will remain in the Black & Yellow for at least two more seasons. Swartz has signed a new two-year contract with New Mexico United ahead of the 2023 USL Championship season. That contract makes him a United player through the end of 2024. The 26-year-old joined United in the 2021 season and has been a massive source of energy for the club.
Swartz scored six goals in 2022 – good for third on the team – and assisted another two. It was an incredible comeback for the midfielder, who missed much of the 2021 season due to injury. Swartz scored the first goal of the 2022 United season, as well as the tying and winning goals in United’s playoff-clinching victory over LA Galaxy II in October, just a few minutes apart.
Swartz grew up in Needham, Massachusetts, and is a product of Northeastern University. He has played 42 matches and more than 3,000 minutes for United.
